The general public can report damage to the network 24/7. We’ll send out help within 4 hours if a threat to health and safety has been recognised or suspected.
What is third party damage?
Third party damage reports cover damage to our network caused by either through act of nature, anyone not working on behalf of your organisation or is the end user that poses a threat to public health and safety. This could include:
• Wires/cables down or hanging low across a public footpath or public highway (outside a customer’s curtilage or property boundary).
• Damage to poles, poles down or leaning.
• Manhole/box covers damaged, missing or raised framework.
• Underground cables cut or exposed (outside a customer’s boundary).
• Street cabinet doors hanging off, missing, or open (exposing wiring and electrical equipment).
• A street cabinet that has been hit by a vehicle or vandalised.
